We Made IT

We made it to Oklahoma in one piece. The kids were great in the car for the two and half day drive. Dedrick's mom and I drove the van with the kids. Dedrick's dad and Deke drove the moving van. We have unpacked most of the house and set up the utilities. The funniest part of the drive was we hit a major thunder storm in Kansas and had to get a hotel for the night. Deke and his dad had to get off the road for the storm to pass. Thank you all for the prayers, we miss everyone.

Moving Update

We have been able to pack most of the apartment. We are finishing the office and the two closets. Then we will be cleaning a little tonight, and then finish the cleaning tomorrow afternoon. We get the moving truck in the morning. Dedrick's wonderful parents got our family two nights at a hotel for tonight and tomorrow night so we can have a break from the chaos. I would like to thank Sandy for cleaning my kitchen yesterday morning. We will let you all know when we made it to Oklahoma in one piece.

Update!

We found a house to rent for the year we are in Oklahoma. Dedrick and I flew out to Oklahoma May 18th to the 22nd. My mom flew in from Alaska to watch the kids for us. We will be moving into a 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2.5 garage,and big front and back yard. We are living about fifteen minutes from Dedricks work, downtown Tulsa. Dedricks parents are flying in on June 4th to drive with us to Oklahoma on June 6th. We are packing the apartment right now, and enjoying lots of family time together. We are grateful for everyone's love and support though the many years.

While in Oklahoma, Dedrick and I had a honeymoon. When we were married, we could not take one, that was seven years age. We were able to stay in a suite that had a kitchen, king bed, living room, and office. It was wonderful work and play at the same time.

THANK YOU to the Carmen B. Pingree Center, for everything you have done for our family and especially Becca. She has come so far and has made tons of friends. Millions of thanks to all the staff. Becca loves you all!

Graduation

He made it!!! It has been a very hard road these five years. We are very excited for Dedrick and all the hard work he has done. He graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He has a job already lined up, he will start June 15th. We have to give a BIG SHOUT to his parents for everything you have done for us; without them we would not have made it. Dedrick we love you, and are very grateful for everything you did for your family. Looking forward to the next step in our lives.

Happy Birthday Becca!

Rebecca Lynn Lund was born on May 7, 2002 at 9:04am. She weighed 6lb 10oz 21in , she had a head full of brown hair. She is the love of our lives, she makes you smile and laugh. I cannot believe how she has grown. She loves to help everyone, she makes friends like they are air, and she has energy to spare. Happy Birthday Princess, we LOVE you. She now weighs 70lb and is 4'2", and growing strong everyday.

40 Days and Counting

Becca asks me every day "when are we moving mom", so I printed a calendar for her to cross off the days. If you can believe it, we will be leaving the married student housing after four years. We move June 5th to Oklahoma, which is an eighteen hour car ride and 1200 miles with three kids, two cars, and wonderful in-laws.

May is going to be a BIG blur, we have three birthdays, one graduation, my mom flying in to watch our kids, husband and wife flying out to find a house, Mothers Day, and packing. Some were in all that, doctors appointments and everyday life. Let's hope we can make it in one piece, so far so good. We will keep you updated on how things are going on the move.
